Nearly time……

so I now officially have 3 months left till little man is here, I haven’t really updated you guys on anything as iv been so busy with meetings and appointments, with hospital and work.

I had a meeting to discuss and sort out my birthing plan, I don’t really have one as I never happens half the time. But as I had a very long labour with Thomas and ended up having a c section I had to met with a consultant to discuss birth with this one. I have opted for a c section with this one as will make this easier for me and little one and be less stress for the both of us.And I will be more relaxed as I will know what to expect as already had one and will also know when he will be here.

iv just sorted out my maternity leave so my last day is 1st November, that will give me time to get ready for the new arrival but to also give me time to spend with Thomas before little one gets here. And give him as much attention and love that I can before December. My next post will be about what I pack and what the best thing to put in hospital bags for you baby and partner.

Baby number 2 is due in December…..not really made much of an announcement as was a bit of a shock after losing one is March, but we are very excited and very happy about this little bundle of joy growing and getting ready for the arrival in December. If you follow me on instagram you would of seen the amazing announcement and lil man wearing his big brother top. As you guys know I love getting the chance to try out new products Iv never come across before, When it come to pregnancy there is vitamins that they like you to take, and there is so many different brands and once’s that do different things and never to sure which ones to get. I got a box of these ones for free to try them out and they are amazing, I love them I forget to take them first thing in the morning with sorting out little one and housework. But as long as you take them one a day it’s perfectly fine, i found that taking them when I remembered calmed my morning sickness. When I got these I was looking at the different ranges out there and found that these one are actually beneficial so I will definitely stick to these once and definitely recommend them.

The best place to look at if you are unsure on what’s best for you and the baby and what’s more beneficial is Emma’s diary there is stuff on there to help you and you can even try samples and read reviews

Long train journey

For those of you who don’t know I’m originally from Newbury, but now live in Cambridge. I still have family in Newbury and will occasionally travel down by car with my parents or with my husband. But this time around for the first time ever I had to do it all on my own by train, not easy as it’s 3 hours long and 3 different train changes. I went and spent the weekend with my sister and to see her, was weird going on my own and not having a child or husband by my side to hold my hand. But at the same time was a lovely little bit of a break away from everything and just chill out for once. I felt proper grown up doing it all by myself there and back, even tho I had to be at Cambridge train station at 5am to get the first train to kings cross. I will definitely do it again to see my family and not be to scared to do it as I was a little bit anxious for a while about going on my own.

Family holiday

I love a good family holiday, we have to do are family holidays between January- March as husband working on a farm and helping with harvesting. Are favourite getaway is Center Parcs, we have been there twice and already booked to go again next year. It’s so lovely and peaceful and just the perfect thing as we are both busy hard workers, we didn’t plan anything this time round as we just wanted a nice chill calm week with just us 3 and not have a busy week running back and forth in the car.We spent the whole week on site went swimming every morning, walked around and explored the site, the only time we went off site was when we took lil man to the zoo after lunch one day as was only 30 mins down the road. And lil man loves seeing the lions and tigers, I booked one activity for lil one on the site for him to do but I was a little bit disappointed as wasn’t what they said online and wasn’t how they described. But was only £4 and he really enjoyed himself in the end so still a win win. It’s such a lovely place to go as you have your own lodge/cabin and you always have wildlife coming to the window, which he loved we had squirrels, ducks, rabbits and monk jacks (deer). We put food out for them and gave the ducks any spare bread we had before we come home, we ended up having quite a few different wildlife at the same time round us. I can’t wait to go again next year.

Finally passed my course

As some of you are aware I recently went back to college, I did a free online course to do counselling and I absolutely loved the course and had such a lovely time doing the work and learning different things as I went along. I have just finally passed the course after I had to make a few changes to some of the questions and alterations which is normal when I comes to coursework, now I have finished I feel like I want to do the other levels and feel like I want to slowly build myself up the ladder. I really want to help others and when I was talking to someone about the course the other day they asked me what I want to do now iv passed where do I want to take it. I really want to help out school children who are going through bullying. Anxiety and depression as iv been through all that myself and I empathise with that, I really want to be a school counsellor and be their for them when they need someone to talk to and somewhere safe they can go. And that is now my goal and what I want to achieve.

Trying something new

Iv always struggled to find the perfect razor that’s nice a gentle, I always find the disposable ones not so nice and rough on the skin and just doesn’t quite do the job that I was accepting it to do. I always give different brands a try but always hated them or never got on with them, when I was scrolling through one of my social media apps I come across one called friction free shaving. When I was browsing the website I was so drown into it and really wanted to give it a go, I instantly signed up and registered with them and a bonus I got my razor personalised so it has my name on it which I love so much. I gave it a try straight away when it come through my post and I was so pleased with it, it’s what I want from a razor nice and gentle on the skin does it’s job proper. My legs are instantly nice and smooth and not still rough and pouchey like with the disposable ones, it’s that amazing that iv recommenced it to friends and family.

If you wanted to have a look here is the website https://www.ffs.co.uk/

and if you use my code you can get a free engraving on your razor to which is a bonus because then you save yourself £6 GF67KX

Gender stereotypes

16070125-D754-4214-81F4-D9C762F1E512When I was pregnant with my little one the one thing that I wanted was for him to have a comfort teddy, I got 3 of the same just in case one needed a wash or one got lost. Unfortunately we lost one of them when we was in town with my friend Jodie. We looked everywhere and retook are footsteps, unfortunately we couldn’t find it anywhere and he was having a melt down and asking for his teddy and a cuddle. So I had to try and see if any shop was selling comfort teddy’s, lucky for me one shop was selling them. They went to see if any was at back of store, thank god they had one they said that it was pink and had unicorn on it. I really wasn’t bothered at all as iv always said that if he wants a girl toy or dress in princess dresses then that’s fine with me, whatever makes my littl man happy is fine with me. So I brought the pink unicorn comfort teddy and gave it to him he loves it and calmed down straight away with it, my only problem is a few people gave funny looks the fact that a boy was cuddling a unicorn. SERIOUSLY….. this is one thing that annoys me so what it’s my child not yours….. like if he wants to play with dolls and prams and wants to wear dresses then that’s fine with me I will be there for him whatever he decide in the future.

Easter box

E39949F0-A37D-411D-977F-63173A6BB4A8I love looking on Pinterest for all sorts of different ideas for arts and crafts, especially when I comes to getting the little one involved. When I come across this idea I know that I had to do it as was such a lovely idea, I had to do a bit of hunting around to find the cheapest option as did want to do it myself. The cheapest blank crate that I found was the works this only cost me £3, then the little sample pots of paint from hardware store they are under £2. I got three different colours as my husband wanted me to paint then the same colours as Thomas the tank engine. Then there is the shredded paper, I could of done myself but I don’t own a shredder personally but thought that £1 was a great price for this. In total this literally cost me under £10 which is cheaper then buying one already decorated which would cost around £15-£25. If you know that you can do things by yourself then go for it, I could of decorated his name a little bit better but my hand was shaking to much.

Going through hard times

So the end of February I got some very exciting news, something that was going to change not only my life but my family’s. I found out that I was pregnant, so over the moon as me and my partner really wanted are little one to be a big brother. I only told certain family members and my boss at work, as didn’t really want to jinx anything.

Unfortuntly I ended up losing the baby and had to go in for a few tests as they was worried that I could of had an ectopic pregnancy due to the pain that I was in.  it wasnt an ectopic pregnancy I just had a normal miscarriage, it was still tests to make sure that I don’t get any infection.

That will give me time to get myself up and ready again to try for another baby, as I am quite still shaking up and this. But hopefully when the time is right it will happen, everything always happens for a very good reason and this wasn’t unfortunately on of them.
